These are some super-simple bars that are just fantastic. Easy, simple ingredients- you know what I like! Let's get to the recipe and pictures!
First cream the butter and sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla. |
Then stir in your dry ingredients. |
Then add in the oats and butterscotch chips. |
And here are the bars topped with the extra chips and ready for the oven. |
And the bars all baked up to perfection! I hope you try this recipe! |
Butterscotch Bars
-1 cup butter, softened
-3/4 cups white sugar
-3/4 cups brown sugar
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-2 cups flour
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 1/2 cups oats
-1 1/2 + the rest of the package of butterscotch chips
-1/2 cup chocolate chips
Grease a 9x13'' pan and preheat your oven to 350 F.
Cream together the butter and sugars. Stir in the eggs and vanilla.
Stir in your dry ingredients. Then stir in the oats and 1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips.
Pour your dough/batter into the pan and pat flat. Sprinkle with the remaining butterscotch chips and the chocolate chips.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
Feel free to play with the add-ins in this recipe, or to halve or double the recipe- that will work fine. I hope you give these a try!
Savor it!
love, rue
